About Cleenki

Cleenki is a home cleaning marketplace that connects private customers with independent, professional cleaners in Stockholm. You book directly in the Cleenki app, pay by card, and the RUT deduction is applied automatically to the invoice. No subscriptions, no lock-in, no admin.

At Cleenki, the cleaning is carried out by independent cleaners, not traditionally employed staff in an organisation. For you as a customer this means flexibility: no lock-in, no subscriptions you need to cancel, and no hidden fees. Everything is handled smoothly via the app.

Cleenki is currently available in Stockholm and the surrounding area. We are continuously expanding to more cities in Sweden. You can see in the app whether we are active in your area when you enter your address.

Pricing & payment

The price ranges from 240 SEK to 300 SEK per hour after the RUT deduction, depending on the service, cleaner and booking. You see the price directly in the app before confirming your booking, along with any additional fees. Everything is clearly stated. No hidden charges.

The RUT deduction is applied automatically directly on the invoice. You only pay half the labour cost — we handle the entire application to the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). You don't need to do anything. Enter your personal identity number once when registering and we take care of the rest. The maximum RUT amount for 2026 is 75 000 SEK per person per year, which corresponds to cleaning worth up to 150 000 SEK in labour costs.

No. Cleenki has no lock-in period, no start-up fees and no notice periods. You book one cleaning at a time or set up a recurring cleaning, and you only need to follow our cancellation rules if you need to change or remove a specific booking.

You pay by card directly in the Cleenki app after the cleaning is completed, securely via Stripe. No invoices in the post, no reminders, no admin. Your card is saved so future bookings process automatically. The RUT deduction is already shown on the receipt.

Booking & customisation

You book in the Cleenki app, which is available to download on the App Store. Create an account with your email address or Apple ID, enter your address, choose the type of cleaning and time, and confirm your booking. The whole process takes under two minutes.

Cleenki automatically assigns the closest available cleaner with the highest rating in your area. This way you always get someone with experience, good reviews and a reasonable travel time. All cleaners are verified, registered for F-tax and have completed previous cleanings through the platform.

Yes, if you have a recurring booking the same cleaner will come to your home as long as they are available. This builds a relationship and trust, and the cleaner gets to know your home. If your cleaner is sick or on holiday, our support team will contact you and help you with a replacement with a similar rating.

You choose yourself: a one-off cleaning, every week, every two weeks or once a month. The most common frequency among our customers is cleaning every two weeks. When you have a recurring booking you can see your upcoming cleanings up to a year ahead directly in the app.

The minimum time is 2.5 hours for home cleaning. For larger homes or deep cleaning, 3 to 5 hours is recommended. When you enter your home size in the app you get a recommendation for the appropriate number of hours.

What is included

A standard home cleaning with Cleenki includes vacuuming, mopping floors, wiping surfaces, polishing mirrors, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen and toilets, and emptying bins. In the kitchen this includes cleaning the sink, hob and wall behind it, inside and outside of the microwave, wiping cabinet doors and the exterior of appliances, and emptying the kitchen bin. In the bathroom this includes cleaning the bathtub, shower, sink and toilet, wiping marks from walls, and wiping bathroom cabinets. You can add special requests directly in the booking.

Home cleaning is regular maintenance cleaning that keeps your home clean week to week. Deep cleaning is a thorough scrub that removes dirt and grease that has built up over time, for example in the oven, on tiles, high up on cupboards and behind furniture. Deep cleaning is recommended one to two times per year, or before a sale, moving in, or after a longer period without cleaning.

Moving cleaning at Cleenki is a complete clean of the home to the Swedish Estate Agents' Association standard, including cleaning the oven, extractor fan, windows, wardrobes, bathroom, kitchen, floors and all surfaces. It is carried out when you move out and ensures the home is handed over approved. Cleenki offers a fixed price and a 3-day approved moving cleaning guarantee. If the buyer or landlord does not approve the cleaning, we fix it at no extra cost.

When you book you choose yourself whether you want to provide cleaning products or have Cleenki arrange them. If you choose for Cleenki to arrange cleaning products, we make sure they are always topped up at your home, for a small additional fee. As a customer you need to have a vacuum cleaner, mop and a bucket at home. If you are missing any of these it can be arranged if you let us know in advance. For moving cleaning we bring everything needed.

Yes, if you want. Many of our cleaners use Swan-labelled or eco-certified products. You can also ask your cleaner to use your own products if you want full control over what is used in your home.

Safety & quality

Every cleaner on Cleenki is verified before being admitted to the platform. We check their identity and F-tax registration, and we test them practically to ensure they can actually clean. Assignment is then based on ratings and previously completed cleanings, so you always get someone with documented experience. After every cleaning you can rate your cleaner, which keeps quality high across the whole platform.

If you're not satisfied, contact our customer service within 24 hours and we will fix it — either by sending the cleaner back or through compensation. You can also request a different cleaner for your next booking without having to explain why. Since the rating system is central to Cleenki, all feedback is taken seriously.

You choose yourself: be home and open the door each time, leave a key in a key box, or hand a key directly to your cleaner. If you hand over a key, the cleaner signs a key receipt confirming they have received it. Many customers choose a coded key box outside the door. That is the most convenient and secure solution.

Cleenki has liability insurance that covers damage occurring during the cleaning. If something breaks, report it to our customer service within 24 hours with a photo and we will handle the matter. You do not need to go through your own home insurance. We recommend putting away valuables you are particularly careful about before the cleaning, even though accidents are rare.

Cleenki is a marketplace where independent professional cleaners offer their services. We believe cleaners should be able to build their own business and receive a larger share of the revenue, rather than being locked into traditional employment with pressured schedules. All cleaners on the platform are registered businesses with F-tax, which is a requirement for the RUT deduction to apply.

Cancellations & changes

Cancellations are made in the app and follow these rules: 7 days or more before the cleaning is free of charge, 6 to 3 days before is a 50% charge, 2 days or less before is a 100% charge. Rescheduling is always free as long as it suits the cleaner's schedule. We know children can get sick and urgent things happen, which is why rescheduling in those situations is always free.

You cannot pause the subscription itself directly in the app, but you can cancel individual cleaning sessions when you know you will be away, for example during the holidays. You can see your upcoming cleanings up to a year ahead in the app. If you want to pause your entire schedule for a longer period, contact support and we will help you.

Yes, you can edit the day, time or add a comment to a specific cleaning directly in the app. You can also cancel individual cleaning sessions without affecting the rest of your schedule.

You will be contacted by our support as soon as your cleaner lets us know they cannot come. We will help you with a replacement who has a similar rating and availability, or reschedule the cleaning to another day at no charge. You are never charged for a cleaning that has not been carried out.

RUT deduction in detail

You are entitled to the RUT deduction if you are at least 18 years old, live and pay tax in Sweden, and have sufficient tax liability to cover the deduction. The deduction applies to cleaning in your own home, holiday home or a close relative's home that you are paying for. It works for detached houses, condominiums, rental apartments and holiday homes, as long as the property is used privately.

The RUT deduction is 50 per cent of the labour cost, up to a maximum of 75 000 SEK per person per year. This means a cleaning that costs 1 000 SEK in labour only costs you 500 SEK. If there are two of you in the household you can together receive 150 000 SEK in deductions, which goes a long way even with weekly cleaning throughout the year.

No. Cleenki applies for the RUT deduction on your behalf directly with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket). You only pay your half on the invoice. The deduction appears automatically in your tax return the following year. All you need to do is enter your personal identity number in the app when registering.

Cleenki's support team will contact you to find a good solution. We help you review how your allowance is being used so that cleaning continues to work smoothly for the rest of the year. You can check your remaining allowance on the Swedish Tax Agency's online service Mina skattereduktioner (My Tax Reductions).

For cleaners

You register as a cleaner at cleenki.com/jobba-med-oss. You need to have or start a sole trader business with F-tax, a bank account, and be able to verify your identity. We review your profile and approve you after a short interview and practical test. Once approved you can start receiving bookings and building your own customer base.

As a cleaner on Cleenki you keep the majority of the revenue. Cleenki takes a platform fee from each booking. Most cleaners end up with an hourly rate higher than traditional employment in the industry, and you have the freedom to build your own client base through the rating system.
